Conversation With Granny
Today relax at home.. Packed some of my stuff as preparing for going Malaysia this weekend due to tomb spring cleaning thingy. Last year, because of some things I didn't go. I know granny wasn't happy as she don't really see me that often..
Even if I goes back JB, most likely is go my aunt house or xiao jiu shop. I don't really travel up to granny house unless xiao jiu drive me up. But most likely is impossible la as I goes in awhile and leave.. I don't really spend much time in JB due to travelling time and all.. I am super LAZY.. Lol..
Hmm.. Called my granny as usual to chat with her.. My daily routine la.. Just to let her know I am fine.. I could hear how happy she is and she's looking forward to this Sat.. She tell me how many dishes she's going to cook.. I wanna faint.. But I know when I was a kid, granny always give me the best. I won't deny this fact.. Now she's already 80++.. Hmm.. I really hope I could spend much time with her.. But distance is the thing that play a part.. Ya everyone will say JB only ma.. Just a causeway away.. That call far meh.. JB is not that small as SG lo.. Haiz.. Travelling to her house from after causeway, its a long journey.. I often fell asleep on bus and miss my stop.. Then I would end up at some ulu place.. Then I have to call for help coz JB is really big la.. Not all places I know.. But somehow or rather if ask me walk I still can figure out.. Lol..
Here's the conversation between granny and me.. It's a translation of her dialect as my granny speaks hainan and I replied is mostly hokkien as my hainan not that good.. Wahahahaz~
Me:
Po Po.. Linghui here.. What are you doing?
Granny:
Oh.. I cleaning the house lo.. Nobody help me..
Me:
Aiyo.. Why you always don't want ask Aunty Nik help you do? Hmm.. I next time help you do..
Granny:
Don't want la.. You so skinny already.. Later you do liao.. I can't see you.. Both you and ah wei so skinny.. Can be like kor kor the size a not?
Me:
Po Po... You very funny hor.. You know how much I eat.. Then I since I was a kid, I already like that le... Its not I don't want to put on weight lo.. You must tell ah wei to eat more lo.. Not me right.. Hehe..
Granny:
Quite true la.. You this saturday coming in with Cheng huh? I cook a lot of food for you leh.. All your favourite.. Your little cousins are jealous liao.. They say I everyday never cook what they like to eat.. But when you come got good food to eat.. You see how much po po love you..
Me:
(Don't wanna say some hurtful words) I know la.. Hehe.. What you cooking? Hehe.. Don't tell me, you go market buy Lao Mu Ji hor..
Granny:
I cook your favourite xi yang cai soup, prawns, sontong, chicken and also fish.. But the chicken is Lao Mu Ji coz ah yi say this year don't cook lao mu ji.. If not yr xiao jiu will eat more than you.. But I buy extra drumsticks for you to eat.. You must come in ok..
Me:
Ok Po Po.. I will de.. No worries.. I will go back de.. Then your house work do finish or do half way only? You eat lunch already a not? Don't starve yourself hor.. Later you feel giddy again..
Granny:
Eat liao le.. I eat salted fish, salted egg and salted veg with porridge.. You remember when you are a kid and staying with me, we always eat this for lunch and dinner? I finish my house work.. If not where can talk to you so long.. Then somemore last week you totally never call me.. I haven't scold you yet lo..
Me:
Erm.. Eh.. I busy ma.. ;p
Hmm.. Ya but that time wanna save money ma.. I remember.. I miss those good old days.. Po Po but now also not bad ma.. Got Lai, Ling and Xing to accompany you.. House should be more merrier than when that time the house only got kor kor, wei and me only.. Then we always read books.. Not like them always fighting, chasing around or make a lot of noise..
Granny:
Aiya don't say about them.. I rather they not home.. Much more quieter.. Last time when you all are young, I rather dote on the 4 of you because you are very quiet and always stay one corner to play.. Then won't make too much noise.. You all also don't fight or anything.. See the 4 of you together always laugh and joke.. How to see grandchildren so close one.. I see my friends one.. I still think the 4 of you are my best grand kids lo.. Even now big liao still know how to think of Po Po..
Me:
Po Po you don't make me cry leh.. :P
Hmm.. We where got so good.. Haha.. Hmm.. I thought I super naughty one.. Haha... Po Po you need anything ma, I can go to supermarket help you buy then Sat I bring in with me..
Granny:
You where got naughty.. Among the 3 of you don't say wei cheng coz he that time still baby and is in SG, you are the only girl then always try to behave as a guy coz you wanna bland in with them.. Even buy girl toys for you, you say don't want.. If buy that kor kor and ah wei can't play.. You rather play something they can also play.. I dunno should I say I am proud of you as you that time only 4 years old know how to think liao..
Me:
I got so good meh.. Hmm.. I also can't remember.. Those toys I still have leh.. But Wei Cheng spoilt it le.. Then I unwilling to throw away.. Hehe.. Po Po.. You haven't tell me you got anything want me to buy ma?
Granny:
You now not working still want buy things.. Save your money la.. Last week Li Ling go yr house... Thought I don't know.. You spend a lot of money hor.. Bring her go make specs all that.. Her parents don't make for her.. But I know you care for yr little sis also la.. Don't want scold you.. But not worth it la.. Next time she want anything don't buy ok.. I don't want anything.. I just want you to come in this Saturday..
Me:
Ok la.. I now not working.. Doesn't mean that I can't tell kor kor to help you buy things de lo.. You know sometimes I busy, I got ask kor kor to go help you buy de ma.. Then its always either I buy or kor kor buy.. Then why you wanna worry whose money you using leh? Saturday I planning with kor kor and ah wei to go back together.. We will meet at Woodlands Interchange then go back JB together to eat lunch.. Ah wei say can kutuk kor for makan money.. Hehe.. So you don't cook lunch for me and cheng hor.. Cook something nice for yrself for lunch ok..
Granny:
Ok.. If I got anything want to buy then I call you la.. Now haven't think of any yet.. Hehe.. You and Ah wei always bully kor kor hor.. But don't bully too much.. I buy some chicken essence for you to nourish your body.. Still got ping xue recently a not?
Me:
I know la.. Won't bully kor kor de la.. Hehe.. Hmm.. Sometimes only.. But not that often le.. I know how to take care of myself de.. Don't worry so much la.. I everytime go out got bring sweet.. So ok de.. Hehe.. Po Po.. You that day fall down ok le ma? I heard mummy say de..

I tell her don't tell anyone.. Why she tell you? Hmm.. Ok le.. But don't scold me hor.. I rather do things myself but I didn't people are nowadays are not so kind hearted anymore..
Me:
You must be careful la.. Nowadays people are born with no heart one.. So if can next time go out ask neighbour bring you go.. I don't want you to get hurt hor.. I won't scold you de la.. When did I ever scold you before.. Hehe.. Maybe got, I also forget.. Hehe.. Ok la.. Po Po.. You go take a rest.. Don't do anymore house work le hor.. Later you feel giddy again.. Granny:
Bye Bye!! (Slam the phone as she usually does it when she wants to scold the kids, HAIZ~)
Hmm.. Earlier I don't want say some things as I don't want let my granny feel hurts.. Coz whenever she cook my little cousins doesn't know how to appreciate.. I find my granny's cooking the best lo.. But my little cousin says always cook the same thing.. But I just feel that granny cooks what they like to eat lo.. Lai likes to eat egg and other things he don't eat.. So even if I am standing in my granny's shoes, I will cook something he likes to eat lo.. Ling and xing both like fish ball and veg.. Don't like to eat meat.. So granny cook those for them.. I just wonder when will learn to appreciate her.. Haiz.. I can't let my granny know they xian her cooking. If not she will feel sad and depress de lo.. Ya so wonder why I goes in.. Got a lot of food to eat coz whatever my granny cook I also like to eat.. So she has no problems of what to cook as I everything will also finish.. Haha.. Hmm.. There isn't much to blog apart from this.. I going to take a nap and wake up later.. Hehe.. Ciaoz..
